The fashion fest will take place at Urbis, in Cathedral Gardens. From outfits worn by the Arctic Monkeys to a tea pot owned by John Lennon, some of the world's most iconic rock memorabilia have found a new home at the recently redecorated Hard Rock Cafe Manchester.
The new items, from Hard Rock's world-famous music memorabilia collection, also include a guitar used by Oasis on the 2005 album Don't Believe The Truth; an Alberto Biani suit worn by Elton John in the mid-80s; and Ray Charles' custom-made tuxedo.
A new pizzeria and an adjoining bar are about to open in Manchester's Northern Quarter, adding to the area's burgeoning collection of small, independent businesses.
Launching on High Street this October, the stylish Dough Pizza Kitchen will serve a wide range of pizza, dough sticks, pasta and salads. So far so ordinary, but it is the little things that make this restaurant special. It will offer DIY pizza for children, for example, and a gluten-free range for people with allergies.
Located next door to Dough and with its entrance on Thomas Street, Apotheca transforms an old medicine store into a quirky, contemporary bar.
Both ventures are co-owned by local entrepreneurs Alyson Doocey, David Cook and Andrew O'Dwyer. For more information visit www.doughpizzakitchen.co.uk or www.apothecabar.co.uk.
