I was elated to be invited by Amanda Gleave to one of her The Magazine bashes at Felicini for their 1st birthday celebrations. My guest and I were treated to fine wines, courtesy of Nathan Fiske from Eurowines, and a delicious 'picture-perfect' Italian canapé reception. Needless to say the guest list included the very best of movers and shakers the city has to offer. If you were not invited, don't blame the postman!

Just call me the media magnet of Manchester - magazines, newspapers, radio and now a spot of telly! Our 'other' man about Manchester, Byron, the breakfast presenter from Channel M, invited me to join him on his couch one early morning to talk about the daily goings on in the city. By all accounts I am a natural but I would rather be hosting a late night feature to avoid the 5am alarm call!

Gosh, I have gone all cultured this month, having recently attended a book launch as the guest of Dr Andrew Biswell, the main chap from the creative writing department at Manchester Metropolitan University. It was a frightfully highbrow event with a reading from Caroline Smailes, author of 'In Search of Adam'. I am most excited - I am writing this month's ditty with only hours to go before the party of the year: Dianna Bourne's Diary Page Party. This is a serious 'sex in the city' party that I have cancelled this week's adventures at the house in Granada for. David Rozman frog-marched me to his salon for a hair-do this morning so I look the part, and my outfit is pressed ready for action. The Lowry Hotel is hosting the party with their unique 5-star style - I am now a bit giddy with excitement!
