Whilst doing a Lionel Richie and dancing on the ceiling in a renowned cheesy nightclub post M.E.N. Arena concert, I find myself chatting to Ged McPartlin, director of Curtis & Bains. Speaking of passionate Manchester people, Michelle Atack springs to mind. Michelle is the marketing guru behind the Triangle Shopping Centre and she recently organised a fashion show hosted by the soon-to-be-wed Polly from Galaxy Radio. Stunning models presenting Calvin Klein's summer underwear collection and the complimentary Corona kept me alert before dashing to the Rad!
Radisson Edwardian Hotel - Opus One Restaurant
Flustered and tipsy from the aforementioned fashion show, I arrive at Opus One as a guest of the Vertu mobile phone company - the luxury must-have accessory available in Selfridges. With prices from £2,500 to £52,000 this clearly is not a pay-as-you-go option! With a burly security man guarding our private dining room, I felt safe dining at a table adorned with diamond-encrusted phones. The food was exceptional. I opted for the local/regional options to show the big chiefs from Vertu what Manchester food is all about. I was very proud of the Radisson to represent Manchester cuisine to such a high-profile global luxury brand. Poor show with the goodie bag, though - no free phone!
Croma Prestwich
Gosh, it's expanding again only this time in Prestwich. As with all Croma restaurants, Croma Prestwich promises an elegant fusion of taste and value in ultra-stylish surroundings. Croma Manchester (pictured) - located a stone's throw from all the beautiful shops of King Street and in the shadows of the town hall - is undoubtedly the best pizzeria in the city centre. Other locations include Chorlton, Leeds and Boston, USA.

I am blushing as I think of my recent blunder! I take some friends to view a current art exhibition at the Richard Goodall Gallery in the Northern Quarter. The idea is to look cultured showing them a Coronation Street influenced pop art exhibition by 'the bird who works in the chippy, who has a fling with Les Battersby' is how I described the artist. Lo and behold who was stood behind me whilst my booming voice blurted out the introduction but 'the bird from the chippy', namely Jayne Tunnicliffe. If you would like to capture the essence of Coronation Street, pop on down!
Hard Rock presents Hyde Park Calling
Being Manchester's very own 'Ambassador of Rock' at the Hard Rock, I would like to inform you of how you can secure your place in Rock history!
